Hello, I am Alonso Seixas. I discovered yoga in Rio in the late eighties. Having experienced the benefits that yoga brought to my personal life and general health, it became a natural impetus for me to share this knowledge with others seeking good health, well-being and positive changes in their lives.
I am passionate about teaching yoga and witnessing my students evolve in their practice over time.
Living in London for over 20 years now, I've explored the main traditions of this ancient technique of self-refinement and cultivation and my method and ethos is to promote well-being through Hatha Yoga practice as a whole, with particular focus on alignment and breathing.
In this way, my lessons are structured as concentration, asana, (postures) pranayama (breath control) and meditation. Lessons are tailored to the clients’ needs and/or interests.
Insured as a teacher and hold a British Wheel of Yoga Level 4 diploma.
Level 4: Applied anatomy and physiology and the teaching of Asana / Observation, adjustment and protection of vulnerable areas of the body / Yoga breathing practices and relaxation /Hatha Yoga and Pranayama
Certified in teaching yoga for people with physical disabilities
Certified in Special Yoga and Mindfulness for Autism and ADHD.
10 years plus teaching group and private
Hold a DBS certificate, (police check)
